Acupuncture treatment
for antenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care

  • Acupuncture Treatment

Acupuncture is a component of the health care system of Chinese Medicine that can be traced back over 2,500 years.

  • Fertility Acupuncture

Acupuncture helps by increasing the blood flow to the reproductive organs and stabilising hormone levels and this in turn can increase ovarian function in women as well as sperm production in men.

  • Babies and children

Acupuncture has become more and more commonly used by parents as a treatment for babies and children. This is mainly because acupuncture offers a safe, natural and effective approach to paediatric care.

  • Pregnancy and Labour

As a mum-to-be you need to know that acupressure is safe and may also control pain during child birth and support your body as it proceeds towards labour.

  • Herbal Medicine

Herbal prescriptions are developed to use each herb to its greatest advantage. By combining different herbs together, it adjusts and increases the treatment results.

  • Moxibustion

Moxibustion (Chinese: 灸; pinyin: jiǔ) is a TCM therapy using moxa made from dried mugwort (artemisia argyi).

  • We set the highest standard in providing effective acupuncture for fertility and IVF treatments.

Acupuncture is an effective, safe and natural approach to health. We are supportive, proactive and aim to achieve the highest results.

We talked about the different types of prostatitis, looked at the symptoms to watch out for, the research published about acupuncture for the treatment of prostatitis, and also talked about the main dietary and lifestyle advice.

    Acupuncture for dysmenorrhea (period pain)

Vlog #21 brings you the news about the study by Dr Mike Armour et al, where researchers from Western Sydney University and the University of Auckland worked together in a small pilot study of 74 women aged between 18 and 45 years old.

The researchers found that more than half had at least a 50 per cent reduction in the severity of their period pain after undergoing acupuncture treatment for three months, with the effects lasting for up to a year.

Dr Mike Armour, a postdoctoral research fellow at Western Sydney University’s National Institute of Complementary Medicine said: “Our pilot study found that using manual stimulation of the needles, rather than an electrical pulse, commonly used in many Chinese studies for period pain, resulted in reduced need for pain-relieving medication and improvement in secondary symptoms such as headaches and nausea.”
